MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit

Forecaster summary - Issued 2020-02-08T00:11:12

The high energy (greater than 2 MeV) electron flux at GEO is currently at moderate levels. However there has been an increasing trend over the past 24 hours and that is likely to continue with electron counts expected to rise and become high during the diurnal maximum through the period. The associated 24-hour integrated fluence is also increasing with a chance it will exceed the Active threshold on day 1 (8th) and likely on days 2, 3 and 4 (9th-11th).

REFM currently supports the forecast of a gradual increase in the fluence, with values  over the Active threshold from day 1 onwards.
