MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit

Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-11-08T00:04:11

The high energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) is expected to show an overall decline until late on day 3 (10th), but may rise close to the High level at the diurnal maximum today, with solar winds likely to be insufficient to drive the electron flux in the Van Allen belt higher during the period. Then during day 4 (11th) the high energy electron flux is expected to reach moderate to high levels, under the influence of a weak high speed stream from coronal hole 79. The associated 24-hour fluence is expected to remain below the Active threshold throughout, but with an increasing trend through day 4.
