MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-04-11T00:17:05
The high energy (greater 2MeV) electron flux has been varying recently, from high levels and then down to background during any periods of geomagnetic activity. This has led to some variable and occasionally Active fluence levels in the last few days. However, in the last 24 hours, diurnal peak values have remained below 1000pfu (High levels). This suggests that without further sources of enhancement fluence levels will now remain below the Active threshold. Despite this, given the history of weak coronal hole influences bringing some Active levels, a 20% risk is maintained through the period.
