MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-04-07T00:13:46
The high energy (greater than 2MeV) electron flux at GEO is high, and the associated fluence is currently above the Active threshold (1e8 integrated pfu). The high energy electron flux is expected to to be high at first but is likely to gradually decline later in the period as solar wind decreases. Associated fluence is expected to remain at Active levels for much of the period, with a chance of Very Active levels (above 1e9 integrated pfu) on day 1 and 2 (7th and 8th April).
The general trend in the REFM forecast for the period is considered good guidance.
