MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2022-04-26T00:28:38
The high energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) at GEO is expected to be at mainly background to moderate levels through days 1 and 2, due to a lack of input from a slightly elevated high speed stream. Any build up of electrons in the radiation belts is more likely from days 3 and 4 due to the next coronal hole high speed stream, but this could be inhibited by potential geomagnetic activity.
Electron fluence levels are well below the Active threshold with this expected to continue through the next four days, but with a rising trend towards the end of the period due to the forecast high speed stream.
