MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2021-03-04T00:29:52
The high energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) is currently High, and is expected to cycle between Moderate and High levels until later on day 2, when increased geomagnetic activity is likely to cause flux levels to drop to background levels. Later on day 3 and into day 4 electron flux is likely to increase towards high levels again, in response to elevated solar winds from coronal 30 and 31.
The corresponding electron fluence is currently above the Active (1e8 integrated pfu) threshold. It is likely to decrease below this threshold later on day 2 into day 3, before rising above again on day 4.
