MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2021-02-14T00:27:21
The high energy electron (greater than 2MeV) values are expected to continue at mainly background levels through day 1 and 2 following recent geomagnetic enhancements. As the high speed is expected to continue through at least days 1 and 2 (14 and 15 February), the flux may rise toward the high (1e3 pfu) threshold, particularly on days 3 and 4 (16 and 17 February).
24-hour integrated fluence is on a downward trend in response to low flux values, but is expected to start rising during days 1 and 2. A rising trend may allow the fluence values to reach close to the Active (1e8 integrated pfu) threshold, should the solar wind speeds stay at current levels as expected.
