MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit

Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-03-17T00:18:38

The high energy electron flux (greater than 2 MeV) has been at normal background to moderate levels for the past 24 hours. Flux levels are expected to be remain at these levels through much of the forecast period, perhaps showing a generally slow rising trend, until the arrival of the HSS either late on day 3 (19 March) or early on day 4 (20 March) when a temporary decrease is likely.

The corresponding 24-hour fluence is currently well below the Active threshold (1e8 integrated pfu) and is expected to remain well below throughout the forecast period, though may show a rising trend.
