MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-01-08T00:29:11
The high energy electron flux increased from moderate to high (1e3pfu) levels on 07 Jan. High levels are now expected on the diurnal peaks through the next four days, although as the solar wind slows, the peaks are likely to be lower on each day.
Corresponding electron fluence values have recently exceeded the Active (1e8 integrated pfu) threshold, in line with the trend suggested by persistence. The electron fluence is now expected to remain above the Active threshold throughout the forecast period, although it is unlikely to exceed the Very Active threshold.
