MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2018-12-06T00:22:29
The high energy (greater than 2MeV) electron flux at GEO has been generally at background levels, but has the potential to reach moderate levels through the diurnal cycle through the first half of the forecast period. The values are then expected to become mostly background on day 3, as the anticipated high speed stream of coronal hole 54 arrives. Corresponding electron fluence values would increase in response to any increase in flux values, but expected to remain below the active threshold (1e8 integrated pfu), as supported by REFM.
