MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2021-12-03T00:33:25
Under the influence of various CH HSS the high energy electron flux (greater than 2 MeV) is expected to remain at predominantly High levels, only occasionally decreasing to moderate levels during the diurnal cycles and when any significant geomagnetic activity occurs.
The associated 24 hour integrated fluence is likely to remain above the Active threshold (1e8 integrated pfu) throughout, with a slight chance of reaching Very Active levels during days 3 and 4 (5th and 6th) under the continued influence of various coronal hole high speed streams. This is broadly supported by REFM, with the fluence forecast to remain above Active today and day 3 (5th).
