MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-08-30T00:05:31
With quiet conditions in the near-Earth space environment, little change is expected to electron flux over the next two days, this remaining at normal background levels for much of the time. By late tomorrow, once the high speed stream from coronal hole 58 becomes established, an increase in electron flux will be seen, rising to moderate levels ahead of a further increase to high levels from 01 Sep. The associated integrated 24 hour fluence is forecast to remain at normal background levels until later on 01 Sep, at which point the Active threshold is expected to be reached. The fluence is then expected to remain above the Active threshold for the rest of the forecast period.
