MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2019-08-20T00:06:59
The high energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) is expected to diurnally fluctuate between background and moderate levels for much of the forecast period, although perhaps rising above the high threshold (1000 pfu) at times from day 2 (21st) if electron counts increase sufficiently under the influence of coronal hole 54.
The corresponding high energy electron fluence is expected to remain below the active threshold (1e8 integrated pfu) over the next four days, although a rising trend is likely due to the above mentioned coronal hole influences.
