MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit

Forecaster summary - Issued 2018-06-11T00:16:10

The high energy electron flux has recently been varying between moderate and high levels, following the diurnal cycle. However with solar winds currently at background levels, these values are likely to show an overall declining trend in the coming days, though still following the diurnal cycle.  Some rapid drops in electron flux levels may be observed later tomorrow (12th) and during day 3 (13th) in response to increased geomagnetic activity, though levels should soon recover due to the increased solar winds.

The corresponding 24-hour electron fluence is just below the Active threshold (1e8 integrated pfu) and is expected to show a slowly declining trend in the coming days, perhaps with more rapid drops during day 3 (13th) in response to reduced flux levels following any enhanced geomagnetic activity.
