MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2021-07-25T00:28:42
The high energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) is expected to be at mainly background to moderate levels, with a chance of the high level (1e3 pfu) being breached on day 4 due to the onset of a coronal hole high speed stream.
Electron fluence values are likely to follow an upward trend from day 3 due to the increasing electron flux. There is only a slight chance of the Active (1e8 integrated pfu) threshold being reached, due to the likely weakness of any high speed stream along with any potential effects of the CME in disturbing the radiation belts.
