MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2021-08-23T00:13:12
Background to moderate high energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) are expected to become moderate more generally as the high speed stream from coronal hole 92 becomes established. Based on persistence, the flux is unlikely to reach the high threshold.
Electron fluence values are expected to remain below the Active threshold, but with an increasing trend likely on days 3 and 4, following any geomagnetic activity prior to the onset of the high speed stream. This forecast is mainly based on persistence from the equivalent hole on the previous rotation.
