MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2026-01-24T12:39:26
GOES-19 high-energy (>2 MeV) electron flux is currently at Moderate to High levels. Flux is expected to remain generally around this level through the forecast period as solar wind pressure declines, with a significant electron population possible following recent CME and ongoing HSS impacts.
The associated 24-hour fluence is above the High (1e8 integrated pfu) threshold, and expected to generally remain so through the period although periods below the threshold are possible at times. MOSWOC REFM forecast remains low confidence following the CME arrival on the 19th Jan.
