MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit
Forecaster summary - Issued 2025-09-01T00:08:38
High-energy (>2 MeV) electron flux observed by GOES-19 is currently at moderate levels and is expected to persist near this range early in the period. However, levels will likely drop to predominantly background values following the anticipated arrival of the 30 August CME, expected late on Day 1 or early Day 2 (01 or 02 September).
The associated electron fluence is forecast to remain below the Active threshold. Notably, the latest MOSWOC REFM output does not yet account for the Earth-directed CME currently en route.
