MOSWOC high energy electron forecast for geostationary orbit

Forecaster summary - Issued 2023-07-29T00:29:59

High energy electron flux (greater than 2MeV) is expected to oscillate between background and moderate levels, with no significant inputs expected into the radiation belts through the next four days. The connection to coronal hole 28 may not have occurred, or only weakly occurred. If it did occur it only had limited impact on the solar wind and electron counts. The end of the forecast period is uncertain with a risk of geomagnetic enhancements from possible CMEs, which could notably affect the electron flux.

Electron fluence values are on a slowly rising trend and are not expected to exceed the Active (1e8 integrated pfu) threshold.
